We have stayed in Whitelea on several occasions and besides being quite close to the city centre, it is also 1 mile or less to the M6 motorway. We have been very comfortable in this establishement and the breakfast is worth waking up for!We would thoroughly recommend this B&B to all our friends if they are visiting Carlisle.

Thank you for the time we could spend in your House. It was a pleasure for all four of us. We enjoyed the time in London and especially you hospitality. It was so uncomplicated and Emil very quickly felt like at home. So next time. He would use it like being at home.

Never go this BnB 1279657746
The owners, Tim and Lynn are really unkind and crazy. They don't want to talk to customer. When I tried talk to Lynn, all she said is good bye and hung up the phone. Never ever go there.

My wife and I stayed in this Glorious bed and breakfast. We were told that we were not in their best room, however our room was beautifully decorated. Completely spotless and had an amazing view of the cathedral from the window. The bathroom was ample size and very clean. After a restful sleep I awoke to a very tasty full English breakfast and my wife had smoked salmon and scrambled egg which she said she very much enjoyed. I would recommend to everyone!

Bad... stayed there in July 09, last year and the service was bad. When we arrived at the B&B, a foreign young woman, who could hardly speak English, got to us to greet us but with a bad start since she could not find the booking even though Edward, which was not there, had assured us that our booking was reserved on three occasions on the telephone. We had to fill in a form to make a booking. When she put us in the room, we found out that everything was not clean and the beds were undone. She agreed to do the place up so we hopped off to the pub nearby. When we returned back, we found the place ready, so we settled inside to freshen up. When we entered the bathroom, we found out that the shower had no shower tray so a squeezer (which was not actually working) was given and you had to push out the water into a hole.Furthermore, there was no hot water so we had to shower with cold water! Also, the website was boasting about the WI-FI connection which was available in the rooms. Actually, this had to be accessed from the outside! Afterwards before we went to take a bite, we found out that the central heating was not working. The explanation for this was very complicated which was about a boiler next door! So after a meal we had to sleep in the cold, too! The next morning, we went to take our breakfast (which was at an additional charge) which consisted of a breakfast which was nothing out of this world! We also asked for our towels to be changed(room service). You will expect this to be free, but this was at an additional cost of £20! So this is not the 'quality-but-cheap' as stated on the website. Don't forget about the persisting problem about heating! It spoiled our holiday. Furthermore, I had to talk to Edward (which came on the last day of our 3 night stay) in the middle of the night about this cheap service. Well, the parking was great and the proximity of the airport was great too when considering that we left during the night. Come to this place if you want to wear a scarf and a jacket in bed, for a polar experience!

Beautiful bed and breakfast. Wonderful breakfast room. Ellen is a great hostess. We really enjoyed our stay. Was not long enough. Went to Arboath. Ellen told us about a great fish and chip place. We loved this bed and breakfast.

Would not recommend this B&B. Beds are as hard as rocks and the place is NOT clean. Bathroom sink had no hot water and the place is overpriced for being so far away from the city centre. Don't stay here. There are better/cleaner options in Edinburgh.

Very clean, warm and comfortable accommodation surrounded by peaceful countryside even though it is only 10 minutes drive from Hemel Hempstead. The Room had a washbasin and TV, and the shared bathroom was spotless as was the modern attractive kitchen with dining area. An ideal spot for an overnight stay or for someone staying longer.
